Concept
This tableware designed for Canadian Tire Company, designed to appeal to the millennial market. As part of a larger initiative to align the business towards meeting the challenges and opportunities represented by the “generational shift” from Boomers and Gen X towards Millennials and Gen Y, my design focused on improving the connection between people.
Insights based on Research
• don’t generally have enough tableware when friends come to eat together, and might not have enough space to sit in front of a table together
• don’t like to wash too many big plates and bowls after eating
Target Market
•Millennials who generally eat alone, but sometimes eat together with friends;
•People who like a minimalist lifestyle don’t buy a lot of tableware
• People who enjoy using a bowl for food, and don’t always sit at a table to eat
• People who don’t like to wash large plates and bowls after eating
